The production of industrial goods, in regards to sustainability, has two sides.  On one hand, technology can be a cause for numerous environmental problems.  On the other hand, innovations in engineering help us solve existing ecological problems and help develop future avoidance strategies. 

Eco-efficiency of production technology processes needs to be part of our daily lives.  This includes “secondary products”, such as wastes, heat, exhaust gases and noise, which need to be kept as minimal as possible.

UKOM members have very diverse experiences with efficient production processes and are constantly improving and adapting their ideas on the basis of new experiences and different points of view.
